Overhiser Promoted to Assistant Coach

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point wrestling Head Coach Kevin Ward has announced the promotion of Jimmy Overhiser to Assistant Coach.
Overhiser joined the program as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in January of 2023 and immediately showed his impact on the team While at West Point, Overhiser helped the Black Knights send three Cadet-Athletes to the NCAA Tournament last season. The 2023-24 incoming freshman class was also nationally ranked 17th in the country by Intermat and 21st in the country by MatScouts.

Prior to coming to West Point, Overhiser was the Director of Operations at the California Regional Training Center. In the 2021-21 season, he was also an Assistant Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. While at Wisconsin-Whitewater, where they had a National Champion.
Overhiser also had a stop at Reinhardt as an assistant coach from 2020-21. At Reinhardt, Overhiser helped produce three All-Americans and a National Champion.
A 2020 graduate of Cornell University, Overhiser graduated with a BS in Architecture Art and Planning. At Cornell, he was also a part of the wrestling team.
