Army Defeats Lehigh 4-0, Advance to the Semifinals

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The No. 3 seeded Army West Point women's tennis team defeated the No. 6 seeded Lehigh Mountain Hawks 4-0 in the Patriot League Tournament quarterfinals Friday afternoon. Army's Jenna Sabile, Emma Sy, and Paige Herremans each won their singles match.
How it Happened
In the doubles matches, Cooper Jackson and Paige Herremans competed against Megha Dania and Anushka Dania in the No. 1 spot, defeating them 6-0. In the second position, Army's Julia Kelly and Jenna Sabile bested Allyce Gaborik and Junmoke James 6-1, securing the doubles point for the Black Knights.
Army continued to dominate the court in the singles matches. In the No. 3 spot, Army's Jenna Sabile competed against Lehigh's Allyce Gaborik. Sabile defeated Gaborik in two sets (6-0, 6-1).
In the fourth position, Emma Sy defeated Junmoke James 6-0, 6-1. In the No. 6 spot, sophomore Paige Herremans competed against Helena Cilella. In two sets, Herremans defeated Cilella in two sets (6-1, 6-1).
