Tanner Gresham and Sam Ruta Earn Patriot League Weekly Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point baseball starting pitcher Tanner Gresham was named Patriot Pitcher of the Week for the first time this season. Third baseman Sam Ruta was also named Patriot League Player of the Week for the first time this season, announced by the league on Tuesday.
In Army's seven-inning contest, on March 11, Gresham pitched a complete game, had a career-high of ten strikeouts, scattered two hits, and walked one, after facing 26 batters.
In the March 7 game against #8 Arkansas, Ruta went 3-for-4, had two runs, a double, and earned a batting average of .383.
In the March 12 game against Wright State, the Yardley, Pa. native batted 4-for-5, had one run, two RBIs, a double, a triple, and a .393 batting average.
