Army Women Fall On Senior Day To Holy Cross, 60-54

WEST POINT, NY. –The Army West Point women's basketball team (12-15, 10-7 PL) fell to the Holy Cross Crusaders (20-8, 12-5) 60-54 on Senior Day at Christl Arena on Saturday afternoon.
How It Happened
Before the game, Army recognized its senior class of players, Hope Brown, Kamryn Hall, Sabria Hunter, Natalie Rhine and Jaida Strippoli.
Things got off to a fast start for Army, getting out to a 6-0 lead, with five of the points scored by Kam Hall, including a three ball.
Trailing by nine at half, Army came out hot in the third quarter, as Hope Brown connected on a three-pointer followed by Reese Ericson making threes on back-to-back possessions to tie the game at 33-33. Army would take the lead, 37-35 after two foul shot makes by Kamryn Hall. Army used a 15-4 run to open the quarter to jump out front.
The Crusaders would quickly respond and use a 9-0 scoring run of their own to close the third quarter to take a 44-37 lead into the fourth quarter.
Lauren Lithgow made a three-pointer to cut the Holy Cross lead to four, 50-46.
However, Army could not pull any closer as Holy Cross used clutch free throws down the stretch to prevail, 60-54.
Kaitlyn Flanagan (14), Lindsay Berger (12) and Cara McCormack (10) were in double figures for Holy Cross.
Inside the Box
· The difference in the game came at the free throw line. Holy Cross converted on 19 of 26 from the foul line to Army's 8 of 9.
· Kam Hall had a season high 20 points, on 6-12 shooting and was a perfect 7-7 from the line.
· Reese Ericson made two-threes, her ninth game this season making 2+ three-pointers.
· Sabria Hunter logged 14 rebounds.
