Men's Hoops Coasts to 68-51 Win Over Le Moyne

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's basketball team (2-7, 0-0 PL) led wire-to-wire and won its second straight game on Tuesday night at Christl Arena by a score of 68-51 over Le Moyne.
Blake Barker led the way with a career-high 20 points on 7-11 shooting and 4-6 from deep. He added five rebounds, two steals, and one assist to his career night.
Josh Scovens followed up his Patriot League Rookie of the Week performances by playing the most complete game of his young career. He scored 16 points, seven boards, three assists, three blocks, and one steal.
Ryan Curry also finished in double figures with 11 points. He added six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Dylan Blair also had the best game of his young career, dropping a career-high nine points on 3-5 shooting.
Army was able to race out to a 9-0 lead to start the game and the Dolphins were never able to get the Black Knight lead under five points as Army went into the break up by eight.
In the first five minutes of the second half Le Moyne was able to cut the Army lead to just four points before the Black Knights rattled off a 10-0 run behind eight points from Barker. After that Le Moyne cut the lead back to six but a Barker three stopped the run right in its tracks as the lead went back to nine.
A 7-3 Army run pushed the lead back to 13 and the Black Knights would cost to the end and win by 17 to pick up their second consecutive win.
Abe Johnson had an impressive game snagging 10 rebounds, four blocks and three steals.
Army now looks to take the show on the road for a matchup at Harvard on Friday Dec. 8 at 7:00 PM.
