Jamilah Ali-Shaffer Named Associate Athletics Director of Compliance

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Director of Athletics Mike Buddie has named Jamilah Ali-Shaffer as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance.
Ali-Shaffer arrives to West Point with seven years of college athletics experience at the NCAA Division I level. Most recently she served at the Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Long Island University since 2022.
At LIU, she led the strategy, execution, and assessment of a wide range of areas, including student-athlete success/experience, academic advising, sport programs, Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) and compliance programs for 37 varsity sports and 900 student athletes. She also oversaw the student-athlete development department including developing and supporting initiatives designed to enhance the student-athlete experience as it relates to academic, health and wellness.
Before her time at LIU, Ali-Shaffer spent three years at Fordham where she served as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Development. While there she Oversaw the student-athlete development department which focuses on community service, personal development, leadership development and career development. Including the supervision of TEAM Fordham's intern.
Before Fordham, she spent a year and a half at Dartmouth as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance. There she provided technical expertise and served as a resource for all 35 varsity sports on rules, regulations and policies.
Ali-Shaffer got her bachelors of science in business administration, economics where she was on the gymnastics team. She went on to serves as a graduate assistant at Ohio where she got two masters degrees. One in sports administration and the other in business administration.
