Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Competition at ITA Super Regionals

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team concluded competition at the ITA Super Regionals on Saturday. Army's Jenna Sabile and Cooper Jackson represented the Black Knights in singles, while Jackson and Paige Herremans represented Army in doubles.
Match Recap
In singles, eighth-seeded Jenna Sabile competed opposite seventh-seeded Samantha Nanere of Temple in the Round of 32. In a tight match, Sabile dropped the first set in a tight 7-5 match. Nanere went on to defeat Sabile in two sets (5-7, 5-7). In consolations, Sabile faced off against Boston University's Kaitlin Tan by a 6-2, 2-1 injury.
In the Round of 32, twenty-ninth-seeded Cooper Jackson competed opposite thirtieth-seeded Pheobe Peus of Brown University. In a tight match, Peus took the first set 7-6. Jackson fought back, winning the second set 6-2, forcing a third set. Peus defeated Jackson 6-1 in the third set. In consolations, Jackson faced off against UMass' Danielle Hack. Jackson won the match with an injury.
In doubles, seventh-seeded Cooper Jackson and Paige Herremans competed against eighth-seeded Alexandra Benedetto and Addison Ahlstrom of Brown in the Round of 16. Benedetto and Ahlstrom defeated Herremans and Jackson 6-7, 6-1.
