Reese Ericson Named Patriot League Rookie Of The Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Army West Point Women's Basketball freshman Reese Ericson was named the Patriot League GEICO Rookie of the Week, announced today by the league.
On Monday (1/2), Ericson played a key role in Army's 75-56 win over Lafayette scoring 16 points, her second-best scoring output of the season on 6-10 shooting from the field including 4-6 shooting from three-point distance. Her four made three-pointers ties her season best (Emmanuel, 11/7/22). 10 of her 16 points came in the fourth quarter as Army worked to seal the victory.
In two games in the week of 12/26 – 1/2, Ericson scored 22 points, shooting 56% from the field (9-16 shooting), logging six rebounds and dishing out six assists.
A native of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Ericson has started 10 of 12 games this season and is averaging 8.5 points, shooting .400 from the field (38-95) and .381% from three-point (16-42) and is also averaging three assists per game.
Ericson's average of 1.6 made three-pointers per game ranks T-13th best in all the Patriot League.
