Cooper Warren Named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week
September 19, 2022 | Men's Soccer
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point men's soccer senior Cooper Warren has been named Patriot League midfielder of the week, announced today.Â
Warren helped Army to a 1-1 draw at Seton Hall and 2-1 victory to open conference play against Loyola on Saturday night, playing all 180 minutes across the two games. Warren provided the assist on Army's goal against the Pirates, whipping in a free kick that was finished off by Nick Atkinson to give the Black Knights a lead. He would provide another assist against the Greyhounds, finding the head of Justin McStay off a corner kick to give Army a 1-0 advantage in the first half.Â
Warren has been a mainstay in the Black Knights midfield this season, making six starts while logging the fifth most minutes on the team to this point. His four assists not only leads the Black Knights, but leads all Patriot League players.Â
