Women's Rugby Shuts Down Princeton for 87-0 Victory

PRINCETON, N.J. - Army West Point women's rugby took down Princeton by a score of 87-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season. The match marked the first varsity contest between the two after the Tigers joined the NIRA circuit ahead of the 2022 15s season.
The Black Knights used a fast start to get out to a comfortable 47-0 lead at the half. Codi Butt led the way for Army, totaling three tries and a conversion to total 17 points on the day. Cecilia Ollis and Christina Ellis joined Butt in scoring multiple tries, each tabbing a pair. Alissa Eisenhart followed up her strong debut with another stout performance, scoring a try and knocking in eight conversions along with a penalty kick.
A pair of plebes tabbed their first varsity tries featuring Ellie Kearney and Katelyn Woenker in the winning effort. The trio of Gillian Scott, Jeannie Skidmore and Shade Fullerton-Sander each got on the scoresheet for the first time this season, with each adding a try. The win marked the first 15s shutout for the program since its 39-0 victory over Quinnipiac at Anderson Rugby Complex in October 2021.
