ITA Recognizes Women’s Tennis For Academic Excellence

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis program has been honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as an All-Academic Team. Two Cadets – Caroline Vincent and Sophie McKenzie – were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is presented to teams who earn a team GPA of 3.20 or higher, and all varsity letter winners are factored into the overall team GPA for the current academic year. To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes must also have a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the current academic year.
Vincent, a native of Pacific Palisades, Calif., had a 3.95 GPA while majoring in engineering management. Vincent, who served as a team captain, earned First Team All-Patriot League honors and was named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She is also the recipient of the 2022 ITA Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award Winner.
Mckenzie, a native of La Canada, Calif., had a 4.07 GPA while majoring in Life Science. She was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for athletes, this spring.
