Three Black Knights Earn NIRA All-Academic Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. --- Army West Point Women's Rugby had three representatives on the NIRA All-Academic Team as announced by the committee last week.
Kaitlyn Schwarting, Rebecca Syrup and Nicole Wantlin capped off their careers by earning recognition for not only their efforts on the pitch but in the classroom as well.
NIRA utilizes CoSIDA's Academic All-America criteria for its selection process. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 GPA. Nominated student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games and student-athletes are not eligible until they have completed one full calendar year at her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
