Gibson Places 18th In Men’s Discus At NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Jamir Gibson capped his record-setting career with an 18^th place finish in the men's discus at the 2022 NCAA Championships.

Gibson's final throw was his best, landing 55.14 meters. The distance was good enough for 18^th. Gibson earned All-American Honorable Mention honors, two spots away from garnering second team accolades.

Gibson rewrote the record book during his career. He holds the program and service academy records in three events, including the discus, is a five-time Patriot League champion, and appears on the program's top-10 list four times in four events.
