WEST POINT, N.Y. – Caroline Vincent, a senior captain for the Army West Point women's tennis team, was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the Patriot League on Wednesday afternoon.
She is the eighth Army Women's Tennis player to collect the award and the first since the 2019 season. A First Team All-Patriot League selection, she owns a 4.06 cumulative GPA in engineering management with a focus in software fundamentals.
Vincent's impressive academic credentials are highlighted by her title of Schwarzman Scholar, which she earned this past December. One of only 144 global recipients of the esteemed scholarship, and one of 60 within the United States, she will head to Tsinghua University (Beijing) after graduation where she will pursue a higher degree in Global Affairs.
During her time at the United States Military Academy, Vincent has earned numerous accolades for her academic prowess, including the Superintendent's Award for Excellence, the Dean's Pentathlete Award and the Distinguished Cadet Award. She serves as a Battalion Commander and the academy's Morale and Recreation Leader. Vincent was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship, is currently a finalist for the Rotary Scholarship, and was in the running for the ITA Ann Lebedeff Leadership Award.
As a senior, Vincent competed to a 13-6 record at No. 2 singles and posted a 4-2 mark in conference play. She and teammate Stephanie Dolehide went 16-6 at No. 1 doubles, which included a 7-2 record against league opponents.
To go along with her Scholar-Athlete of the Year accolades, she also landed one of six spots on the Academic All-League Team. This is the second-straight year that she has earned such honors, as she was named to the team as a junior.
