Mitchell, Perez Earn ECAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – Zachary Mitchell and Zachary Perez earn Eastern College Athletic Conference Weekly Honors after their impressive performances at the tri-meet with Michigan and William & Mary, as announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.
Mitchell was named ECAC Gymnast of the Week after his stellar performance over the weekend, helping the Black Knights to a win over William & Mary. Mitchell led Army West Point on pommel horse with a career-high 13.000. The Firstie placed third on high bar posting a season-best 13.100.
Perez earned Rookie of the Week nods for the second time this season after he had the best competition of his collegiate career. The freshman stuck his dismount and scored both a career-high and team-best 13.305 on the high bar. Perez place second in the even to Michigan's Paul Juda, who is ranked #1 in the country on high bar. Perez's score on high bar was the top score on the event in the ECAC over the weekend.
