Army Completes Comeback Win Over Central Washington

WEST POINT, N.Y. --- Army West Point Men's Rugby secured the comeback win over Central Washington, 37-29, to celebrate Senior Day on Saturday afternoon, at the Anderson Rugby Complex.
Central Washington jumped out in front first, taking a 7-0 lead over Army in the fourth minute. Sean McNulty rallied the Black Knights' offense by connecting on a penalty kick that erupted into a 10 point scoring run for Army. At the 11th minute mark, Army lead 10-7 over CWU. The Wildcats did not go down easy as they took a 17-10 lead over the Cadets in the 23rd minute of the contest.
Army silenced the Wildcats for the rest of the half while producing three tries by Steven Rhode, Tiaan Mosconi and Koikoi Nelligan and two conversions off the foot of McNulty. The Black Knights went into the break with a 29-17 lead over Central Washington.
Out of the half, Central Washington found the try zone and was successful on the conversion cutting Army's lead to 29-24. Nelligan helped the Cadets answer by finding the try line. McNulty followed with the conversion giving Army a 37-24 lead. Army kept Central Washington quiet for the rest of the game until the final minute when the Wildcats crossed the try zone. Army was able to secure the 37-29 victory over Central Washington.
