Manolakis, Peirano Earn ECAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. --- Steven Manolakis and Franco Peirano of Army West Point Men's Gymnastics have earned Eastern College Athletic Conference weekly honors after a strong showing this past weekend, as announced by the organization.

Manolakis earned Rookie of the Week after a stellar showing on the events he competed in against Air Force and Nebraska. The Hanover, Mass. native scored a team-high and personal-best of 14.250 on the floor exercise tying for fourth place on the event. On the vault, he earned a score of 14.000, scoring 14.000 or higher for the second time this season.

Peirano was named Specialist of the Week after scoring the highest score on vault in the ECAC this weekend and this season. The Pembroke Pines, Fla. Native posted a career-high of 14.600 with a stick landing, to earn fourth place. He also scored a 13.700 in the floor exercise.
