Army Battles With Air Force and Nebraska

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- Army West Point finished third at the tri-meet with Air Force and Nebraska, on Saturday afternoon.

On the floor exercise, Army was led by Steven Manolakis who tied for fourth place with a score of 14.250. Mathew Davis was the next highest scorer for the Black Knights posting 14.100 to tie for eighth. Army finished with a team score of 69.050.
Gabe Almeida had the team's top score on pommel, 12.750, placing eighth overall. Army had trouble on the event putting together a team score of 56.050 on the event. Nebraska took the top four spots on the pommel horse.
Davis was stellar on the rings posting a score of 13.700, claiming third place on the event. Patrick Armstrong was strong on the event scoring 13.350 for fifth place. Joseph Buselmeier followed in sixth place with a score of 13.250.
Franco Peirano led Army on the vault scoring a season-high 14.600 for fourth place. Jacob Nauman and Davis tied for 12th place with a score of 14.050. The Blacks Knights as a whole were strong on the event finish with a team score of 70.450.
Nebraska dominated parallel bars taking the top three spots. Zachary Mitchell claimed fourth place with a score of 13.400. Armstrong tied for ninth place with a score of 13.000 and was followed by fellow teammate Buselmeier in 11th place with a score of 12.950.

Zachary Perez led Army on high bar scoring 12.8000 for seventh place. Mitchell followed in eighth place posting a score of 12.650. Buselmeier and Kavlin Kingshill tied for ninth place with a score of 12.600.
Nebraska finished first with an overall score of 410.500, followed by Air Force in second with 398.800. Army claimed third with a score of 387.500.
