Almeida Garners ECAC Rookie of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. --- Gabe Almeida of Army West Point Men's Gymnastics has been named the Eastern College Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, as announced by the committee on Tuesday morning.

Almeida earned the award after leading the Black Knights on pommel horse with a score of 12.700 to earn fourth place in the event. The plebe has led Army on pommel horse in three or the four meets the team has competed so far in this season.

This is the third time a Black Knight has won the ECAC Rookie of the Week award in the 2022 season.
