Cooper Jackson Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a four-win weekend for Army West Point women's tennis, Cooper Jackson was named the Patriot League women's tennis Player of the Week. Jackson helped guide the team to three wins over the weekend, continuing her six-match overall win streak in the process.
Jackson kicked off the weekend with a pair of wins over Seton Hall, helping Army pick up a 7-0 win. The Florida native teamed up with her doubles partner, Paige Herremans, to earn a 6-2 win to kick off the weekend. The freshman followed up with a 6-2 win on the third doubles court.
Against Binghamton, Jackson and Herremans shut out their doubles opponent, 6-0 to help Army capture the doubles point. Jackson carried her strong play over to the singles court to earn another dominant win, 6-1, 6-1, over her Binghamton opponent.
Jackson has now won six consecutive matches and holds a 12-1 overall record on the season. Jackson holds 4-0 and 3-1 records during the Spring season in singles and doubles action, respectively.
Army women's tennis will return to the courts this weekend to play a trio of matches against Stony Brook, St. Bonaventure and Massachusetts.
