Kayley Ragazzini Named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, PA. - Army West Point women's track & field junior Kayley Ragazzini was named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week, announced today by the league.

A native of Hewlett, NY, Ragazzini stood out at the Crowell Open, landing in the top-two in both of her events as Army began the indoor season at home this past weekend.

The junior claimed the top spot in the shot put, with a 14.63m throw to edge out Albany's Shelby Bigsby by nine-tenths of a meter. In the weight throw, Ragazzini went on to tab second place after posting 18.07m in the finals.

Ragazzini is coming off a strong sophomore campaign, which saw her land in third place in the weight throw at the 2022 Patriot League Indoor Championships before earning All-Patriot League Second Team honors in outdoor after claiming second-place in the discus at the PL Outdoor Championships.
