Davis Named ECAC Gymnast of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. --- For the second consecutive week, Mathew Davis of Army West Point Men's Gymnastics has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Gymnast of the Week, as announced by the association on Wednesday afternoon.

Davis led the Black Knights to a third-place team finish at the West Point Open and their highest team score since the 2020 season. He hit all six of his events in the Friday competition of the open and was the Black Knight's top scorer on rings (13.900) and parallel bars (13.350). He competed in the event finals of the two events capturing fourth place on the rings with a score of 13.400.Â

The firstie posted a score of 78.45 to claimed second place in the all-around, punching his ticket to the Winter Cup in his hometown of Frisco, Texas.
