Wrestling Adds Competition with Franklin & Marshall, American

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Head Wrestling Coach Kevin Ward announced that the team has added a competition against Franklin & Marshall and American to its slate for this Sunday, Jan. 23.
The action between the Diplomats and the Eagles is set for a Noon start at Christl Arena and will be open for fans to attend.
"I'm thankful for our people here that have worked hard to be able to pull this off," Ward said. "I'm also thankful that we found some opponents that are willing to compete. These matches will help position our guys to be their best when it matters most."
As opposed to tri-meet or tournament style, this weekend's event will be made up of Extra Countable Matches (ECM). Each team will compete against one another in bouts that count towards the individual wrestlers' records. There will be no team score kept and it will not affect the teams' season records.
The ECMs will impact individual wrestler's match counts, which affect RPI, as the programs ramp up their competition for postseason action.
