Cook is one of just two members in program history to advance to nationals each year the meet has been held. Only Curt Alitz (1975-78) competed in more NCAA outdoor meets than Cook, as he advanced four times. He is one of four Black Knights in program history to advance to nationals, joining John Ahern (1963), Bob Wallis (1970) and Adam Burke (2003, 2004).
