Army Men's Tennis Ranks Third in Final ITA Rankings

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Following a stellar 9-3 season and a second-place finish in the Patriot League Tournament, Army Men's Tennis capped off 2020-21 ranked third overall in the ITA Northeast Region. This team ranking is the highest in the program's history.Â
Along with the team accolade, two Cadets earned a spot in the region's final singles rankings. Captain Diego Huttepain finished eighth in the poll, while teammate Samuel Eden finished 12th. Huttepain tallied 13-6 overall record in his junior season, earning a spot on the Patriot League's All-Conference First-Team. Eden's ranking comes after an 8-1 record and a spot on the Patriot League's All-Conference Second-Team.Â
In the doubles rankings, sophomores Thomas Lake and AJ Woodman found themselves at the top of the ladder, taking the first overall spot in the poll. Huttepain and Eden also made the list, placing fifth. Lake and Woodman finished the year with an 8-1 mark in doubles play.Â
