Baseball Selected for 2021 Lubbock Regional

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point baseball team heard their named called for the 2021 NCAA Baseball Tournament on Monday afternoon, as they were selected as the four-seed in the Lubbock Regional.Â

The Black Knights, who won the auto bid as the 2021 Patriot League Tournament Champion for the third-straight season, will head to the No. 8 overall seed Texas Tech Regional for the second-straight time after a trip there in 2019.Â

The 2021 Lubbock Regional marks the ninth NCAA Regional appearance in program history, with previous trips in 2019 (Lubbock), 2018 (Raleigh), 2013 (Charlottesville), 2012 (Charlottesville), 2009 (Austin), 2005 (Tallahassee), 2004 (Baton Rouge) and 2000 (Montclair, N.J.).

Also in the Regional are the UCLA Bruins, the No. 2 seed and the No. 3 seed in the UNC Tar Heels.Â

The Black Knights (28-23) will open up regional play on Friday, June 4 vs. No. 1 seed and host Texas Tech at 12 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPNU.Â

All games in the regional will be televised by ESPN on either ESPNU or ESPN3.Â
