After that it was all Black Knights, however. In the bottom of the first inning, they put up five runs on five hits, taking advantage of two Lafayette errors and batting around in the inning.
Up 5-1, the Black Knights added two more in the bottom of the second on a two-run home run by Sam Ruta, his second of the year, to make it 7-1, Army.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Black Knights added three more runs on five hits to push the lead even further, 11-2, Army.

The Black Knights added one more in the bottom of the eighth on Sam Ruta's second home run of the day, this one a solo shot to right to make it 4-1, Army.
