Army Drops Close Contest at Boston

BOSTON, MA - The Army West Point women's tennis team's winning streak was halted at eight on Saturday, as the Black Knights fell to Boston University, 4-3 in a tight Patriot League dual.
After dropping the opening doubles matches at No. 2 and No. 3 to give BU the early 1-0 team lead, Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent finished strong with a 7-6 (5) tiebreaker win.
The competition continued to heat up in singles play, with multiple matches going three sets. After dropping matches at No. 5 and No. 2 to put Army down 3-0, the Black Knights would storm back with three straight wins.
DiMaio earned a 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 at No. 6; Joyner won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1, and Vincent won in three sets at No. 3, 2-6, 6-0, 6-1.
The final point would come down to court four — another three set match. Paola Bou would fall to Kim, 6-3, 4-6, 0-6 to give the Terriers the victory.
