Vincent Named Patriot League Tennis Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Patriot League Conference announced their weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon and listed amongst the weeks best was Caroline Vincent of Army West Point women's tennis. Vincent was named the Patriot League Female Player of the Week after a standout performance in the Black Knights 7-0 shutout victory over Colgate this past Saturday.
The junior helped Army to their first league win of the year with big victories in both singles and doubles play. Vincent and teammate Stephanie Dolehide moved past Colgate's duo of Rebecca Wolf and Sara De Oliviera in a 6-1 performance in the No. 1 slot to help Army to the doubles point. The Pacific Palisades, Calif. native followed up with a three-set singles win (7-5, 6-0, 10-6) over De Oliviera in the No. 2 to secure the Black Knights' shutout.
Through Army's five contests in 2021, Vincent currently holds a 2-1 record in both singles and doubles play. The Black Knights will be back in action this weekend for a full slate of competition, starting at St. John's University Friday at 12 p.m.
