Atlantic Hockey Tournament Up Next for Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point hockey team finished the regular season in second place and received a bye into the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Hockey Tournament.Â

The Black Knights ended the regular season with a two-game sweep of LIU and concluded the AHA season with 30 points in the standings thanks to a 10-4-1-1 mark. Army caught fire late in the season with a 12-game league unbeaten streak that dates back to Jan. 7. The Black Knights will host the best-of-three quarterfinals on March 12-14 at Tate Rink.Â
Fan attendance will not be open to the public for the AHA Tournament at Tate Rink. All games will be live on FloHockey.tv and the Army Sports Network on TuneIn.

The tournament is setup into two pods with one in the East and one in the West. Army is second in the East behind AIC.

Please note, Air Force was placed in the eastern region based on the point percentage of the third-placed team in each region. The playoff format was designed to protect the higher placed third seed by not having them play on the first weekend. Therefore, with RIT at 0.5897 and Sacred Heart at 0.5128, Air Force was placed in the eastern pod.
