February 09, 2021 | Women's Basketball
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sabria Hunter was tabbed the Patriot League Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.
The sophomore averaged 12.0 points per game last weekend in Army's weekend split with Holy Cross. In Sunday's win, Hunter paced the Black Knights offense with 20 points on 8-14 shooting from the floor and was 4-4 from the charity stripe. Her 20 points marked a new career high.
The Austintown, Ohio, native is the first Black Knight to take home the award since Alisa Fallon earned the recognition on Dec. 2, 2019. Despite only appearing in eight games last season, Hunter was tabbed the Patriot League Rookie of the week twice before suffering a season-ending injury.
Army returns to action this weekend with a pair of road contests at Boston University.
