Rifle Tops Coast Guard in NCAA Qualifier

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point rifle team topped Coast Guard in the NCAA qualifier match, 4667-4579, Saturday morning at the Tronsrue Marksmanship Center.
Kyle Kutz was the Cadets top performer with a mark of 589 in smallbore, which matched his career high and is two shy of a program record.

- Army had the top five aggregate marks: Kyle Kutz (1174), Lauren McMahan (1166), Clayton Hanson (1163), Anusha Pakkam (575) and Kaitlyn Kutz (1161).
- Coast Guard's top aggregate mark belonged to Seth Strayer, who shot a combined mark of 1161.
- Kutz claimed the event with a tally of 589.
- Lauren McMahan had the second highest score of the match with a 578, which was tied with Strayer.
- Nick Cheshire (577) and Ashely Clegg (576) each had career-high scores.
- The Black Knights had the top four scores of the match in air rifle.
- Hanson's 590 was the top score.
- McMahan (588), Pakkam (587) and Kaitlyn Kutz (586) were the next three scorers for Army.
