Miguel Aquino III Named to Puerto Rico National Squad

San Juan, Puerto Rico --- Miguel Aquino III of Army West Point Gymnastics has been named to the 2021-22 Puerto Rico Men's Artistic Gymnastics National Squad, as announced by the Puerto Rican Federation of Gymnastics.

Aquino is entering his third season with the Black Knights after competing in 13 meets while wearing the Black & Gold.

During his sophomore campaign, he qualified for the 2021 NCAA Championship Meet on the vault. Last season, the junior won the vault in Army's win over Springfield with a score of 13.9 and posted a career-best 14.05 on the event against Oklahoma.

Aquino will compete at the 2022 National Championships with a date will be announced at a later time. Following the results of the championships, five gymnasts selected for the team will represent Puerto Rico in the 2022 Pan-American Championships in May.
