Men’s Basketball Releases Conference Schedule

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point men's basketball has released its 18-game Patriot League schedule.
The Black Knights begin their quest for a first-ever Patriot League title hosting Loyola on New Year's Day at 2 p.m. Army will then alternate home/away contests in its next 12 encounters, beginning at Bucknell on January 4. The Black Knights host Lehigh on January 7, followed by a road trip to defending champion Colgate on January 10. Army is back home to face Boston on January 13 before traveling to play Lafayette on January 16 and hosting American on January 19.
The Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA will be on January 22 in Annapolis at 1:30 p.m. with national broadcast coverage on CBS Sports Network.
Army's next game will also be on the road when the Black Knights face Lehigh on January 26. Army returns to Christl for a contest against Lafayette on January 29. The Black Knights open February at Loyola on February 2; they will return home to welcome Holy Cross three days later. Army heads back on the road for a matchup with Boston on February 9, before a two-game homestand where the Black Knights face Navy (February 12) and Colgate (February 16).
Army heads to the nation's capital for a meeting with American on February 19. The Black Knights host Bucknell in their regular season home finale on February 23 before the regular season finale against Holy Cross on February 26.
The Patriot League Tournament will begin on Saturday, March 5 with the first round, followed by the quarterfinals on March 7, semifinals on March 10, and the Patriot League Championship on March 13.
Last season, the Black Knights went 7-7 in league play and advanced to the Patriot League Semifinals for the first time since 2016. The program's 25 conference wins in the last three seasons are tied for the most in program history in a three-season span.
Army returns 11 letter winners, including three starters, from last season's team that participated in the Collegiate Basketball Tournament (CBI). Senior Josh Caldwell, who averaged a team-leading 12.6 points per game last season, was named the 2020-21 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year. Jalen Rucker, who started in 21 out of 22 games, was tabbed to the 2020-21 Patriot League All-Rookie Team while averaging 9.6 points per game.
