EMMITSBURG, Md. --- Army West Point women's rugby (4-1) powered past Mount St. Mary's (1-2) 33-5 on Saturday afternoon at Echo Field.
The Black Knights got to work early, scoring their first try in the 12th minute of the game curtesy or Charisma Henry. Codi Butt successfully complete the conversion to give Army the 7-0 lead. Sydney Schaaf and Henry, the next two tries for Army, followed by one conversion from Butt to make it 19-0 in the Cadets favor.
Before the end of the first half, Butt recorded a try and a conversion to give Army a 26-0 lead at the half.
The Black Knights put their final points on the board in the 10th minute of the second half with a try scored by Sophia Linder and a conversion by Butt. Mount St. Mary's was able to find the end zone before the game ended making the final score 33-5.
