Black Knights Fall to Boston U.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Despite matching its season high with 12 made 3-pointers, the Army West Point women's basketball team fell to unbeaten Boston University, 59-45, Saturday afternoon in Christl Arena.

The Black Knights opened the game hot from deep. Army was 8-13 from 3-point range in the first half. The Black Knights first eight made baskets were treys. The streak ended when Sabria Hunter connected on a layup with under 30 seconds remaining in the half.

Sarah Bohn and Natalie Stralkus were on fire in the opening 20 minutes. Bohn was 3-4 from deep, while Stralkus was 4-6. The junior tandem combined for 21 of Army's 26 points at the break.

Army cooled off in the second half shooting 28 percent from the field, while the Terriers shot at 45.8 percent clip.

"Obviously, Boston University is one of the best teams in the league. They have terrific talent. As opposed to last weekend, I thought we came out and we were ready to play and had a terrific first quarter in terms of our defensive focus."

- Army's 12 triples was two shy of tying the program's single game record. The Black Knights made 14 3-balls in both games against Colgate last season.
How It Happened
First Quarter
- Both teams were scoreless for the first four minutes.
- Sarah Bohn broke the stalemate with a triple to give Army a 3-0 lead.
- Army shot an impressive 80 percent from 3-point range, sinking 4-5 attempts.
Second Quarter
- Stralkus and Bohn were 7-8 from three, accounting for all 21 of Army's points with six minutes remaining in the second.
- Boston U. had 11 turnovers in the first half, which led to nine Army points.
- The Black Knights sank four more triples in the second quarter to improve their total to eight.

- The third quarter proved to be Army's slowest of the day. The Black Knights were only 3-13 from the floor and 1-5 from three for seven points.
