Women's Hoops Celebrates Season With Virtual Year-End Banquet

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's basketball team held a virtual year-end banquet earlier this week to celebrate the Black Knights' team and individual honors for the 2019-20 campaign.
Army captured two stars with wins over service academy foes Air Force and Navy. The Black Knights closed out their season winning four of their final seven contests, including a victory on the road over Loyola in the first round of the Patriot League tournament.
Below are the 2019-20 Army women's basketball award winners.
MAGGIE DIXON AWARD
This award is presented to a young lady in memory of Coach Maggie Dixon. Some of Maggie's many traits included leadership, character, tolerance and perseverance through adversity.
2019-20 Recipient: Jessica Rawls
COACH'S AWARD
The Coach's Award is presented to an individual that displays consistent positivity and an exceptional attitude, on and off the court. Their contributions to the team have exemplified the hard work, consistency and selflessness that are so integral to great teams.
2019-20 Recipient: Natalie Rhine
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The Defensive Player of the Year award is presented to the individual that took the most pride in executing their defensive responsibilities.
2019-20 Recipient: Hope Brown
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
This award is presented to an individual that has shown the most growth from one year to the next.
2019-20 Recipient: Lindsey Scamman ?
MAJ GENERAL PHILIP H. DRAPER AWARD
The Draper Memorial Award was established in 1995 and is given each year to the team's most valuable player.
2019-20 Recipient: Sarah Bohn
