ARMY NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS
- Stralkus' five treys marked the fifth time this season that she's hit at least four in a contest.
- This represented the East Brunswick, N.J., native's fifth double-digit scoring effort in the last seven games.
- Fallon has reached double-digit scoring in 19 games this season and 20 in her career.
- This was Murray's seventh double-figure scoring effort of the season.
- Army has hit at least eight 3-balls in six of its last seven games.
- The all-time series with the Terriers is now even at nine apiece.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers opened the contest taking the early 5-0 lead, but a trey from Stralkus at the 8:30 mark of the first quarter cut their lead to two.
- Boston U. would eventually jump to the 21-13 lead by the end of the first quarter. Much of what kept the Black Knights in the contest in the first frame was their success from 3-point range. Three of Army's five made field goals in the first were from deep.
- The Cadets continued to utilize the 3-ball in the second quarter. Army was 4-of-6 from beyond-the-arc in the second stanza. Stralkus was responsible for three, while Sarah Bohn contributed the other.
- Boston U. built its lead to eight at multiple points of the second quarter, but Army countered back to stay within striking distance.
- Stralkus nailed her fourth trey of the contest with under a minute left in the first half to cut Boston U.'s lead to 34-33.
- Army took its first lead of the game after Murray connected on a layup to make the score 39-37 with just under seven minutes to play in the third quarter. Though, the Terriers limited Army's opportunities to expand upon its lead, as the Cadets never led by more than two.
- Boston U. managed to score the final five points of the quarter to hold a 47-44 lead through three quarters of play.
- Army kept within three points until Tanisha Pressley knocked down a jumper with 4:47 left to make the score 59-54 in favor of the Terriers. From there, Boston U. was able to close out the game to win on its home floor.
