Complete Game Earns Smith Second League Honor of 2020

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After throwing his first career complete game in Army's 9-1 win over Air Force on Friday, senior Logan Smith has been named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week.
Smith shut down service academy rival Air Force over nine innings, allowing just four hits. He did not allow an earned run in the contest. The Lufkin, Texas, native has won the league's weekly honor twice in the season's first three weeks. After three starts, Smith is 2-1 with a 0.86 ERA and 20 strikeouts. He boasts an impressive .139 batting average against.
The Black Knights have been represented in the league awards in each of the season's first three weeks after Tim Simoes won Patriot League Player of the Week last week.
Army will look to build on its 2-2 weekend when the team travels to Port Charlotte, Florida for the Snowbird Classic. Play begins on March 6 when the Black Knights take on Western Kentucky at 11 a.m.
