March 02, 2020 | Women's Basketball
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Kamryn Hall of the Army West Point women's basketball team was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the league office announced in a release Monday afternoon.
This marks the third time this season that the Sacramento, Calif., native has taken home the honor, as she previously was named the rookie of the week on Nov. 25 and Dec. 30.
Hall averaged 10.0 points in last week's contests, with a 12-point performance in the win over Colgate on Saturday and eight points on the road against Holy Cross on Wednesday. With her 12 points opposite the Raiders, Hall tallied her seventh double-digit scoring effort of the season. Against the Crusaders the freshman was 2-of-5 from beyond-the-arc.
A member of the Black Knights has won the honor seven times this season with Hope Brown and Sabria Hunter also claiming the award twice. Army is the only team in the Patriot League to have three players win multiple rookie of the week awards.
Winners of three of their last four games, the Black Knights are locked in at the No. 9 seed for the Patriot League Tournament. Following their regular season finale at Boston U. on Wednesday, Army will take on eighth-seeded Loyola in Baltimore in the first round of the tournament on Saturday.
