Black Knights Suffer Setback to Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Army West Point hockey team suffered a 4-1 setback to Bentley on Friday night.Â

The Falcons jumped out 2-0 in the first period and netted two more in the second before Army found the back of the net.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
- Bentley went ahead 4-0 before the Black Knights found the back of the net.Â
- The Falcons netted two in the opening frame and then tallied another two in the second stanza.Â
- Bentley's final goal was scored with 17:48 on the clock and the Cadets answered right back with a score at 18:09.Â
- Cody Fleckenstein cleared the puck up the boards to Colin Bilek who setup the scoring play from the right side.Â
- He crossed the puck over to John Keranen who fired a shot from the left circle and Abdelnour was waiting on the doorstep to tip it in past Fraser Kirk.
- Neither team could convert a goal in the third period making the final score 4-1 in favor of the Falcons.Â
HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Abdelnour scored his fifth goal as a Black Knight and contributed his eighth point.Â
- Bilek registered his 12th helper of the year and 18th point.Â
- The sophomore has posted 22-career assists and 36 total points.Â
- He is now riding a four-game point streak.Â
- Keranen had the primary assist on the team's lone goal tonight. It marked his 10th of the season and increased his point total to 12.Â
- Matt Penta earned his first start of the season tonight.Â
- The senior made 27 saves. It was the most saves by an Army netminder since Jan. 10 when the team tied Air Force.Â

- Army continues its time on the road with a two-game series at Mercyhurst next Friday and Saturday. Both contests will begin at 7:05 p.m.Â
