Black Knights Complete GARC Championships

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Army West Point rifle team posted a score of 2342 in the air rifle portion of the Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) Championship on Saturday. With that tally, the Black Knights posted an aggregate score of 4646 at the two-day competition to place ninth.
Clayton Hanson posted the team's highest air rifle score with a mark of 590. The next highest Army score came from Lauren McMahan, who recorded a 586. Rounding out the scoring for the Cadets were Kaitlyn Kutz (584) and Emily Gay (582).
Hanson posted the ninth highest aggregate score in the competition. The Jamestown, N.Y., native posted a two-day total of 1174.
This marked the final team match of the season for the Cadets. Though, Hanson and Kutz will both be representing Army at the NCAA Championships from March 13-14 in Lexington, Ky.
