HOW IT HAPPENED
- Army jumped out to 17-7 lead after one quarter of play, shooting 50 percent from the field in the opening stanza. Fallon had five points and was 2-of-3 from the field. Bohn was distributing early, as four of her five helpers came in the first 10 minutes of play.
- With Murray on the bench for the entirety of the second quarter in foul trouble, the Bobcats used a 7-0 scoring run late in the frame to slim Army's lead to just three points. Though, Army was able to give itself an eight-point cushion heading into the half thanks to a late triple from Stralkus.
- Both teams experienced shooting struggles in the third. Army shot 30.8 percent from field and Quinnipiac shot at a 31.6 percent clip. After missing the second frame with two fouls, Murray did not leave the floor in the third or pick up any additional fouls. The Boise, Idaho, native shot 2-of-5 from the field, finishing with five points.
- Quinnipiac heated up from the floor in the fourth, shooting 7-of-11 from the floor. Army's shooting struggles continued, but Murray kept finding herself at the charity stripe. The junior forward was 7-of-10 from the line in the final stanza.
- The Bobcats managed to even the game at 43-43 with under five minutes remaining. The Black Knights were able to build their lead back up to five with 54 seconds left, largely due to Murray's success at the charity stripe.
