Hetrick, Blackman and McGee Named CEP Athletes for November

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Ryan Hetrick of Army West Point wrestling, Jordan Blackman of Army football and Sam McGee of Army men's golf have been selected as the Corps Squad Athletes of the Month for November.Â

"Ryan is a team leader in every aspect. He is disciplined, driven, and selfless all at the same time. He sets the example to follow academically, athletically, and is a standout member of his company. He intends to compete for an NCAA title this year on the mat and is competing for a post-graduate scholarship academically. Ryan truly embodies what it means to be an Army Wrestler and a Cadet-Athlete at West Point."

- Ryan Hetrick has earned a 3.64 cumulative GPA during his 3+ years at USMA as an Engineering Management major.Â
- Over the course of his six completed semesters at West Point, he has made the Dean's List in each, with a term-best of 3.74 in the Fall 2019 semester.Â
- Hetrick has maintained a rigorous course load and has excelled in his academic major curriculum. His performance across all academic sub-disciplines has been remarkable.Â
- Â Hetrick currently serves as the Physical Development Officer for Company I4, leading the way for others through his example of excellence and supporting the physical fitness optimization of others.Â
- Ryan has earned the Army Physical Fitness Badge seven consecutive times, including a remarkable 375 on the extended APFT scale.Â
- He also scored an A on his Second-Class Indoor Obstacle Course Test (IOCT), earning the IOCT Tab.Â
- Most recently, he scored 548 on the new Army Combat Fitness Test.Â
- For AY20, he earned the Master of the Sword Award for his overall performance in the Physical Program.  Â
- Hetrick is one of Army West Point Wrestling's top lightweight wrestlers and serves as a team captain for his senior season.Â
- Competing at 125 and 133 lbs over the last three years, Ryan's junior season included a 3rd place finish at the Princeton Open, 2nd place at the Cornell Open, and 3rd at the Shorty Hitchcock Open.Â

- Blackman serves in the position of Company Respect Officer.
- Jordan has earned a 3.147 Cumulative GPA as an Engineering Psychology major

- In the 49-3 win over Mercer University, Jordan scored his first career touchdown in a third-and-goal play.

- As a Law and Legal Studies major, he will commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army in May 2021.

- He posted his highest semester GPA in the fall of 2019, when he finished the semester with a 3.541 term GPA.
