Army's Comeback Bid Falls Short to Boston U.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army women's basketball team fell to Boston U. Sunday afternoon in Christl Arena by a score of 72-66.
Army had a trio of double-digit scorers led by Kate Murray and Kamryn Hall, both of whom finished with 16 points. Murray was 6-of-11 from the field including 4-of-8 from beyond-the-arc. Hall shot 6-of-12 overall and connected on a pair of 3-pointers. The other member of the Black Knights to record double-digit scoring was Lindsey Scamman, who had 15 on the afternoon.
Led by Katie Nelson's 19 points and Maggie Pina's 18, the Terriers had four different players score in double figures. The two shot 13-of-26 combined from the floor. Also reaching double-digit scoring were Nia Irving (13 points) and Riley Childs (10) points.

- This is also the sixth time this season that she has reached double-figure scoring.
- Scamman has now registered double-digit points in 11 games this season.
- Sarah Bohn tied her career high with five assists.
- The Cadets had a season-low nine turnovers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Near the midway point of the first quarter, the Terriers used a 13-2 run to push ahead 19-9. Though, the Cadets closed out the fourth quarter with the final four points to cut Boston U.'s lead to six.
- Army managed to work the Terriers' lead down to 24-22 by the 5:35 mark of the second quarter, but Boston U. caught fire out of a media timeout and took a 35-25 lead into halftime.
- The Cadets hung around in the second quarter largely due to the offensive play of Murray, who had eight of the team's 12 points in the frame.
- After the Terriers gave themselves a 13-point cushion in the opening minutes of the second half, the Black Knights used a 10-2 run to cut their lead to 45-40. Boston U. fought back to hold a 56-45 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- Army kept the game within reach in the fourth quarter, but their hopes of a comeback fell short.
