Army Battles, Falls to Navy at Malek Stadium

WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Army West Point women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaker to Navy on Friday night at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field.
The score was deadlocked for the first 75 minutes until the Midshipmen scored off a free kick.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Navy earned a free kick by Baseley McClaskey just outside the box and connected with Carolyn Mang who found the back of the net.
HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Army falls to 3-4-3 on the year and 0-1-1 in the Patriot League, while Navy improves to 10-1-0 and 2-0-0 in conference play.
- Navy leads the all-time series 16-12-4.
- The Midshipmen had an edge in shots (7-6) and corner kicks (4-2).
- Sydney Cassalia played strong and registered four saves in the game.
- Sydney Shafer paced Army's offense with two shots.
