Petrella Named AWPAA Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. - After headlining his team's second place finish at the Coast to Coast Battle of Beantown on Friday, Army West Point men's cross country senior captain Ben Petrella has been named AWPAA Athlete of the Week.Â
In his first action of the season, Petrella was one of four Black Knights to finish in the top-16 in the highly competitive race, placing eighth with a time of 24:34. As a team, Army defeated No. 3 Washington and finished only behind No. 13 Syracuse at the Boston College hosted event.Â
The two-time defending Patriot League Champions will travel to Bethlehem, Pa., for the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 5.Â
