DURHAM, N.H. — The Army West Point women's soccer team fell to New Hampshire, 1-0, Sunday afternoon on the road.
The Black Knights controlled ball possession in the game, but could not find the back of the net.
Army was awarded a penalty kick in the 16th minute, but missed wide left.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Army had a quality scoring opportunity 16 minutes into the action after being awarded a penalty kick.
- The ball sailed left however and the score remained knotted at 0-0.
- In the 23rd minute, the Wildcats took a 1-0 lead off a goal from Liz Lane.
HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Army is now 2-3-2 on the year, while New Hampshire moves to 4-4-0.
- The Black Knights held an 11-8 advantage in shots but the Wildcats had the edge in corners, 5-4.
- Sydney Cassalia made four saves in the game.
- The Cadets were led by Trinity Garay and Sydney Shafer with three shots apiece.
