WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point head men's soccer coach Russell Payne released the schedule for the upcoming 2019 season on Wednesday afternoon.
The 17-game slate features nine games at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field, including the season opener on Aug. 31 that pins the Black Knights against service-academy rival Air Force. The Cadets' quest back to the Patriot League Championship match will begin on Sept. 21, when Army treks to Baltimore to take on Loyola. During the follow week, Army will welcome the two-time defending champs, Colgate, to the banks of the Hudson on Sept. 28.
The highly-anticipated eighth installment of the Army-Navy Cup will go down on Oct. 11 at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. The Black Knights currently hold the cup series lead, 3-2-2, and will look to claim their second consecutive win after taking down the Midshipmen, 4-1, a season ago.
Army closes out the regular season with a home match against Boston U. on Nov. 6, before the Patriot League Tournament commences on Nov. 9 with the quarterfinal round.
