2019-20 Hockey Schedule
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Head coach Brian Riley of the Army West Point hockey team revealed the 2019-20 schedule which will feature 16 home games including a weekend series against service academy rival Air Force at Tate Rink. Another highlight to the season will be the Cadets' appearance in the Ice Vegas Invitational.
"We are all excited about this year's schedule," said Riley. "Our non-league schedule is very challenging starting with our home opener against the former national champions, Union College. We always look forward to playing Hockey East teams and this year we have the chance to play both UConn and UNH. One of the highlights of our schedule will be the trip to the Ice Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas. Our league schedule will test us at home and on the road. A highlight for our fans will be the Air Force series here at Tate Rink."
For the first time in four seasons, Army opens the season on home ice. The Black Knights will play its first of two Sunday evening games on Oct. 6 when Union comes to the banks of the Hudson for a 4:05 p.m. puck drop.
The Black Knights head to Union the following Friday (Oct. 11) before hosting Robert Morris (Oct. 18-19) for their first Atlantic Hockey contests of the year.
The rest of Army's non-league schedule consists of a contest at UConn (Oct. 11) and a home game versus New Hampshire (Dec. 29). The Black Knights will then make their debut at the Ice Vegas Invitational in Las Vegas Jan. 3-4.
Army will host service academy rival Air Force Jan. 10-11 before taking on the Royal Military College in Kingston, Ontario, on Jan. 18.
Season tickets will go on sale Aug. 6 for renewals, new season ticket holders and group tickets (10+). Mini plans will then go on sale on Aug. 20 and single-game tickets on Sept. 17.
